Cardiac arrest survivor reunites with PulsePoint responder

This is the first known cardiac arrest save due to the smartphone application PulsePoint notification in the state of Maryland

COLUMBIA, Md. — The Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services (HCDFRS) will host a cardiac arrest survivor’s reunion at the Long Reach Fire Station, Fire Station 9.

The reunion will be between a cardiac arrest survivor, Sean Maguire, the PulsePoint-alerted immediate responder, Simone Rockstroh, and the HCDFRS crews who responded to the incident.

This is the first known cardiac arrest save due to the smartphone application PulsePoint notification in the state of Maryland. The media event will be the first time those involved have reunited since the incident.
