MN8 Foxfire Teams with Honeywell to Bring Life-Saving Photoluminescent Technology to Honeywell First Responder Products
CINCINNATI, Ohio – (June 2015) – MN8-Foxfire, a UL certified and NFPA- compliant developer of photoluminescent firefighter safety products, and Honeywell, a global leader in first responder gear and personal protective equipment (PPE), announced today they will bring Foxfire’s photoluminescent technology to Honeywell’s First Responder Products.
MN8 Foxfire’s photoluminescent products are used to illuminate firefighters’ tools and equipment in zero-light, smoke-filled environments to decrease disorientation and improve visibility, reducing the potential for serious injury or death. Both energy-efficient and cost-effective, Foxfire’s photoluminescent products illuminate in total darkness with some materials emitting an afterglow of up to 80 hours after having been exposed to any ordinary light source for seconds. The company’s photoluminescent products are currently being used by more than 60,000 firefighters in over 25 countries worldwide.
MN8-Foxfire has invested heavily in research and development to develop unmatched UL-certified NFPA-compliant photoluminescent technology and Honeywell is excited to share it with fire departments around the world.
“As Honeywell is the global leader in safety innovation, we are honored to be chosen as a key technology partner that meets the highest in firefighter safety standards,” said Zachary Green, CEO of MN8 Foxfire. “With the combined proven performance of Honeywell PPE and Foxfire photoluminescent technology, we can make it safer for firefighters – and those they protect – everywhere.”
