The ION 2.0 cutter, spreaders, combination tool and RAM utilize the DEWALT FLE XVOLTTM battery platform. The 60-volt battery operates ION 2.0 tools and also powers both 60-volt and 20-volt DEWALT tools. The battery automatically changes voltages when you change tools.

The ION tools, which are built from solid aluminum, are compact and can be used in cramped quarters.
