NFFF announces the #Give2NFFFNow campaign on May 5th
EMMITSBURG, Md., - The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) will join #GivingTuesdayNow with the #Give2NFFFNow Campaign on May 5, 2020.
Supporting giving and unity as the world suffers from COVID-19, #GivingTuesdayNow has been added to the day of global giving typically held on the Tuesday immediately following Thanksgiving each year.
Firefighters are on the front lines of the response to COVID-19 and they are showing up, having no option to stay home despite the risks.
“Sadly, we are losing firefighters to COVID-19, with their families forced to delay or forgo the traditional honors that accompany a line-of-duty death,” says Chief Ron Siarnicki, Executive Director of the NFFF. “Long term, our programs will be needed on an unprecedented scale to support firefighters and their families.”
NFFF supports the families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and works to prevent line-ofduty deaths and injuries. As a non-profit, we must find ways to maintain and grow our programs, as we face an unprecedented scale of need.
Your tax-deductible donation will support our many programs that serve the needs of Fire Hero families and firefighters across the country. Learn more about giving to the NFFF on May 5th at give2nfffnow.org.
