Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responds to emergencies and performs necessary duties required to mitigate incidents.
Directs personnel with regard to (EMS) Emergency Medical Services activities at the scene as required.
Maintains facilities and equipment.
Participates in training and maintains an acceptable skill level.
Engages in fire district activities such as inspections, public education, pre-incident planning.
Performs similar and incidental duties as necessary.
Maintains a generally positive attitude and helps to foster a team environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Washington State Driver’s License (by hire date) with an acceptable driving record
Minimum of 2 years’ current employment as a Paramedic/Firefighter in a fire service agency
Washington State Certified (WAC 248-15-060) or National Registry Paramedic
IFSAC FF I (to include Hazardous Materials Operations certification)
IFSAC FF II
PALS, ACLS, PHTLS
Pass and maintain the District’s medical and health standards physical, as well as a suitability assessment, background check, and reference checks.
Forward placement in the WSFF Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee (JATC) program upon hire.
Successful completion of Thurston County Medic One requirements within 90 days of hire.
Wages and Benefits:
$6,865 - $9,153 per month DOE.
