BROOKLINE, Mo. — A longtime fire chief has been accused of raping a woman for over a year.

Springfield News-Leader reported that a woman accused Brookline Fire Protection District Chief Larry McConnell of raping her at his farm and the fire station for more than a year.

A warrant that was used to seize Chief McConnell’s phone said that when he first spoke with detectives, he denied having sexual contact with the woman, but then later said they had consensual sex.

Chief McConnell also claimed the woman sent him nude photos over Snapchat.

No charges have currently been filed against Chief McConnell, who has been chief of the department since 1999.
