Police: Man stole firefighter’s truck while he battled blaze

Police named Zarius Brown as a suspect for the November theft after he allegedly began selling parts of the truck online

SLIDELL, La. — Police are looking for a man who allegedly stole a firefighter’s truck in November after they discovered he was selling the parts online.

WGNO reported that firefighters from Saint Tammany Fire District #1 returned to their station after battling a blaze and saw that a personal truck of a crew member was missing.

Police said after the theft they discovered someone was selling the parts of the truck on social media. Officials believe the truck, which was never recovered, was broken down into several pieces.

After investigating, police named Zarius Brown as a suspect wanted for the theft and are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call CrimeStoppers.
