WARE COUNTY, Ga. — A Ware County, Georgia firefighter has died after being partially ejected during a fire truck rollover on June 22.
Ware County Fire Rescue Firefighter Bobby “Blue” Smith died from his injuries, News4JAX reported. A Facebook post from Fire Chief Dee Meadows asked for prayers for the Smith family and friends.
Georgia State Patrol said the fire truck went off the road and overturned several times before striking a tree and partially ejecting Smith.
Smith died at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
