ANCRAM, N.Y. — The Ancram Volunteer Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of their firefighters who died while on an emergency call on June 15.
Firefighter Stuart Hunt was one of several firefighters dispatched to a motor vehicle incident in Ancram when he suffered a medical event while performing his duties, Times Union reported.
Hunt, 37, received immediate care on the scene and at a nearby hospital but was unable to be resuscitated.
Hunt's father was the previous Columbia County Fire Coordinator.
