FLINT, Mich. — Flint Firefighter Ricky Hill Jr., 49, died Saturday after suffering a possible heart attack when responding to a fire, according to a statement from the city.

Hill collapsed at the scene of a fire at a mobile home park. He was transported to Hurley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

He served with the Flint Fire Department for 15 years.

Hill is survived by his wife and two children.

“We honor Mr. Ricky Hill Jr.’s commitment to a life of service, and we offer our deepest condolences to his family,” Mayor Sheldon Neely said.
