Dear FireRescue1 Member,

In this issue of PPE101 eNews, Jeffrey and Grace Stull detail the advanced cleaning requirements in the new NFPA 1851, while Robert Avsec reminds firefighters that they must "own" their own PPE regarding cleaning and care.

Additionally, a FireRescue1 poll asked, “How do you store your PPE?” The results: 47% reported hanging PPE appropriately to off-gas, and 20% reported storing PPE in the dark, protected from UV light. Only 17% indicated they do both, and another 17% do neither. Review the poll – and share your answers to other polls – at
