Bicyclist struck, killed by responding SC fire truck

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a fire truck Thursday night.
The Post and Courier reported that the fire truck was responding to an emergency call when it struck the bicyclist on the road. The fire truck's lights and siren were activated when the wreck occurred, according to the report.
The bicyclist was transported to a hospital, but later died.
The incident remains under investigation.
