FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Firefighters freed a boy whose head was stuck in a statue.

Sacramento Bee reported that the Fairfield Fire Department responded to a call about a boy who became stuck after trying to crawl through a small concrete dog statue, according to Captain Tony Prado.

Capt. Prado said that crewmembers attempted to use Vaseline to free the boy, but his ear kept getting stuck.

They eventually got him out by chipping away at the stone with a sledgehammer and Halligan tool.

The statue was slightly damaged after the incident, but the boy was unharmed.
