CHICAGO — Four Chicago firefighters were injured in a backdraft Thursday afternoon.
The firefighters suffered minor facial burns as they were positioned near the front door of a house when the backdraft occurred, according to the Chicago Sun Times.
Two of the firefighters were transported to University of Chicago Hospital, while the other two were taken to Holy Cross Hospital and later released, the report said.
One of the firefighters was on a ladder at the time of the backdraft, and the other three were preparing to enter the front of the building, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford told the paper.
