LORTON, Va. — Firefighters in Fairfax County have rescued a construction worker from a trench in Lorton and soon two VRE trains from Fredericksburg will soon be moving again.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue says the worker is being taken to a helicopter and will be transported to a hospital. There’s still no information about the worker’s injuries.
Rescue teams says it appears the person fell into the trench, which is said to be about eight-feet deep.
