Fire destroyed a home on Detroit’s west side Tuesday morning after firefighters were forced to hook up to four hydrants before they found a fifth one that worked.
No one was injured.
George Ellenwood, public affairs manager for the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department, said the four inoperative hydrants were frozen.
