NEW YORK — A writer accused of posing as a firefighter in New York before being apprehended in Memphis was given two extra months today before his trial.
Peter Braunstein, an aspiring playwright, is accused of sexually abusing a Manhattan woman on Halloween night after claiming he was a firefighter to gain entrance to her apartment.
He has pleaded not guilty to an indictment that charges him with arson, kidnapping, burglary, robbery, sexual abuse and assault related to the attack.
