BLUM, Texas- One firefighter required medical attention Monday during a stubborn brush fire in northwest Hill County, near the town of Blum. The blaze was contained by early evening.
Volunteer units had spent the afternoon fighting the blaze in a rural, tree-filled area about 45 miles south of Fort Worth.
No structures burned.
The firefighter reportedly was being treated for heat-related problems -- amid temperatures in the upper 90’s.
