A husband, wife and infant escaped safely, but a firefighter was injured after a fire broke out in a utility room of a house in Bolingbrook early Sunday.
The family was awakened by smoke detectors at about 1:20 a.m. at their home on the 1100 block of Partridge Ave., said Bolingbrook Acting Battalion Chief Russ Hunt. The three were not injured, added Hunt.
“They evacuated safely,’’ Hunt said. They will be staying with family, as the home “probably will not be livable,’’ said Hunt.
