LOS ANGELES — Dozens of firefighters have put out a blaze at an apartment building in western Los Angeles.
Fire Department spokeswoman d’Lisa Davies says the fire burned for about an hour after smoke was reported at the older two-story structure at around 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday
Residents were evacuated from the building but there were no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire was unknown, but Davies says most of the flames were in the attic.
The fire appeared to have destroyed at least half of the U-shaped building a few blocks from the landmark Park La Brea housing complex.
