GUAM — The Guam Fire Department is in a state of mourning following the death of a firefighter who refused to stop working while feeling ill, then died while on duty.
The Fire Chief regrets to announce the death of Firefighter II Vince Cruz of Yigo, who died while in the line of duty. He has been posthumously promoted to Fire Lieutenant.
Acting Governor Ray Tenorio declared the state of mourning in the Guam Fire Department today, which will last until the funeral of Lt. Cruz.
