Electrical fire in garage destroys home, damages another
HOUSTON — A firefighter was injured while trying to put out flames that destroyed a home and damaged another in south Houston on Monday night.
Firefighters said the owners of the home on Scott Street at Cork Drive tried to put out the flames with a water hose shortly after 8:45 p.m., but were forced to call for help as the fire grew more intense.
The flames spread to a home next door, causing minor damage.
