HINDSBORO, Ill. — A firefighter in Illinois died on Sunday after responding to a medical call.
Hindsboro Community Fire Protection District Assistant Fire Chief Thomas Innes helped transport a patient on Saturday, then returned to his fire station and readied equipment.
Shortly after returning home, Assistant Fire Chief Innes, 61, became ill and was transported to a hospital where he died.
