A suspended Lawrence firefighter was charged Wednesday with two counts of child molesting and two counts of child seduction.
Michael D. Kopp, 41, was charged after a 21-year-old former relative came forward recently to say Kopp had molested her. He faces up to 106 years in prison if convicted of all four felony charges.
Kopp joined the Lawrence Fire Department in 1995 and was suspended without pay Wednesday. He has a previous conviction related to an allegation of child molestation, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
