GUATEMALA CITY — A Guatemalan firefighter says a landslide has killed at least eight people in a northern village.
Firefighter Angel Estrada says part of a mountain road that was under construction collapsed Sunday, creating an avalanche of mud and rocks in Aquil Grande.
Local radio reports say 10 people are missing, but officials have not confirmed that tally.
Two people were killed in a landslide along the same road two weeks ago.
