A Lehigh Acres firefighter will be fired following his arrest Wednesday on marijuana growing charges.
Christopher Mullen, 22, did not show up for his 8 a.m. shift Friday. Assistant Chief of Operations Jeff Haugh said the fire district is immediately cutting its ties with Mullen.
“He is no longer an employee here,” Haugh said Friday morning. “As soon as he shows up here, we’ll give him the paperwork.”
