OCALA, Fla. — A 43-year-old man is in hot water after he allegedly walked into a fire station and threatened to kill firefighters after discovering they had extinguished an “illegal burn” on his property.
Keith W. Quarles was ordered to appear in court on charges of assault on firefighters.
According to a report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Quarles was upset that firefighters had damaged the 55-gallon drum early Tuesday morning as well as limestone rocks that fire trucks had knocked over in the yard of his Northeast 25th Avenue home.
