A volunteer firefighter on his way to an extrication accident became involved in a three-car wreck last night after one motorist failed to yield to the firefighter, police said.
Columbia police said in a news release that Nicole Grzeskowiak, 22, of Hermann was traveling north on Providence Road about 11 p.m. yesterday when she collided with the front of a vehicle driven by Ryan Adams, 25, of 3601 W. Broadway at Stadium Boulevard.
Adams, a volunteer with the Boone County Fire Protection District, had his emergency lights and siren on because he was on his way to an accident.
