CAIRO, Mo. — A Missouri firefighter died Saturday while battling a house fire.
Northeast R-4 Rural Fire Association Firefighter Henry “Jay” Branscum, 32, was working at the scene of a multiple structure fire in Cairo when he suffered an unknown medical condition.
Firefighter Branscum leaves behind a wife and a stepson.
A funeral is tentatively set for Thursday in Moberly, Mo.
