KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An arsonist set the Prospect Avenue blaze at which a firefighter collapsed, Kansas City police determined today.
Homicide detectives have joined the investigation into the death of firefighter Terrance Crockett, a police spokesman said.
Crockett, 48, collapsed Monday afternoon while battling a house fire in the 5500 block of Prospect Avenue. An ambulance immediately took him to Research Medical Center, but he could not be revived.
