TIPPECANOE, Ohio — Volunteer firefighter Ray Ash, 40, of 28700 Norris Rd., Tippecanoe, died in his residence during a fire that broke out about 11:30 Saturday night.
Ash’s wife, Bonnie, survived the blaze by leaping from a second-story window into the arms of family members who live nearby.
Members of Harrison County’s Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department still were reeling from their loss Sunday.
