HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — An 18-year-old is accused of impersonating a public servant after arriving at a home earlier in the month and stating he was checking for gas leaks as a firefighter.
Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, said Christopher Cortef Garrison, no address provided, was charged with impersonating a public official, burglary and criminal trespass after he acted like a fireman on Aug. 8 to gain entrance to a home at 1024 Warm Spring Road.
Police said Garrison entered the home of a young female at 11 p.m., said he was sent to the home to check for gas leaks and that the fire department was staging at the end of the street.
Police said Garrison arrived at the home on a bicycle and carried an emergency scanner.
