PITTSBURGH — An Allegheny County jury has acquitted a Pittsburgh firefighter accused of beating another man.
Pittsburgh police charged Thomas Pouch, 45, of Duquesne Heights with aggravated assault in August 2010 after he was accused of punching and kicking a man who came to his home looking for another person.
Pouch is a lieutenant at 38 Engine in Northview Heights. He remained on the job as the case progressed. His status hasn’t changed with the fire department, Chief Darryl Jones said.
“The court determined he didn’t do anything wrong,” Jones said. “That’s good enough for me.”
