BRIDGEWATER, Nova Scotia — RCMP confirmed Tuesday night that the body found in woods in Petite Riviere early Monday afternoon was that of Edwin Sperry.
Mr. Sperry, 61, a married father of two, a volunteer firefighter and an electrician, had been missing since Aug. 16. His identity was confirmed after an extensive autopsy Tuesday in Halifax.
Police say foul play has been ruled out, though the exact cause of death is not known. The medical examiner’s office is waiting for results from toxicology tests.
