Stock car-racing firefighter asks for reality show support

Dan Frazier, a firefighter and police officer from Kalamazoo, Mich., is asking his colleagues from the across the country to help him become on of the 12 finalists to compete in a new reality show, Racin’ for a Livin.’

Frazier was recently named one of the top 50 finalists for the show, which will have amateur car drivers competing both on and off the track for a spot in the NASCAR Busch Series in 2007.

Racing fans from across the nation are invited to vote for the drivers they’d like to see on the show between now and the end of July. The 12 drivers with the highest vote totals will compete in the season-long program.

“I pursue my passion of stock car racing and have been trying to break into the higher levels of the sport for some time,” Frazier said.

“An exciting opportunity has presented itself, but I need your help,” he said. “I need the support of fellow police officers and firefighters to vote for me to make it into the top twelve and be on the show.”

Following in-depth training and racing, the show’s winner will be decided by a process of elimination.

Frazier is urging his colleagues in to vote for him at www.racinforalivin.com. Voting is unlimited and unrestricted – site visitor’s can vote as often as they wish from now through the end of July.
