Assistant Chief David Moore was participating in a live fire training exercise at the Brayton Fire Training School on April 4. After completing the training exercise, he expressed that he was not feeling well during the rehab session.
Moore collapsed moments later from the effects of a stroke. He was treated at the scene and transported to a hospital emergency room within 15 minutes. Moore never regained consciousness and died the following day.
