An investigation is underway into why a fire hydrant in front of a Forest Hill home wasn’t working as a blaze destroyed the building.
Firefighters were called to the house on Ardmore Road, near Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West, around 6 p.m. Sunday after a fire broke out in the garage.
The fire quickly spread to the house. However, when the firefighters tried to hook up a hose to a hydrant close to the house, they discovered it didn’t work.
