MOULTON, Ala. — A wall collapsed at a north Alabama business where firefighters were putting out a nighttime blaze, killing two men in the firefighting team.
Lawrence County Coroner Greg Randolph identified the victims on Wednesday as Moulton Assistant Fire Chief Lloyd McCulloch, 64, and firefighter Justin Jones, 24.
Randolph said the men died from internal injuries to the head and chest sustained when the wall fell Tuesday night. The bodies were transferred to the Department of Forensic Sciences facility in Huntsville for an autopsy.
