DALLAS — Two Dallas firefighters received minor injuries Friday after falling into a pit while battling a blaze at a vacant warehouse.
Firefighters responded to a call about 3:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Westmoreland Road North, said Dallas Fire-Rescue spokeswoman Annette Ponce.
Two firefighters fell in a pit inside the warehouse, she said. They were pulled out, treated at the scene and taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The fire was under control within an hour, she said.
The cause was under investigation.
