SPRING GROVE VILLAGE, Ohio — Fluttering in a stiff breeze, a line of American stick flags stood at attention for two fallen heroes.
The Stars & Stripes lined the street leading to the funeral home Tuesday where thousands of mourners filed past the flag-draped caskets of two members of the Colerain Township Fire Department, Capt. Robin Broxterman and Firefighter Brian Schira.
“I had to be here,” said Delhi Police Chief John “Satch” Coletta as he adjusted his uniform before entering the line snaking its way around the Gwen Mooney Funeral Home at Spring Grove Cemetery.
