A 17-year-old dishwasher at a suburban restaurant in Buffalo, N.Y. repaid the debt of a woman by saving her life.
Straight out of a movie plot, this boy’s life was saved by the very woman who he rescued by performing the Heimlich maneuver while she was choking in the restaurant he was working.
The mother then recognized her as the nurse who performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on Kevin Stephan in 1999, who collapsed after he got accidentally hit on the chest a baseball bat.
