MOBILE, Ala. — Video captured the dramatic moment a firefighter narrowly escaped injury.
WKRG reported that Mobile Fire-Rescue crews were on scene of a tanker fire Tuesday. In the video, the firefighter is seen approaching the truck. As he walks toward it, a tire suddenly explodes.
The blast sends debris flying toward the firefighter; a nearby firefighter, who was still putting on his gear, was also near the explosion.
The nearby firefighter moves away and the first firefighter worked to get the fire under control. Crews had the blaze out in a matter of minutes.
