$5,000 health and safety prize to be presented at FDIC 2011
CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — Hale, a renowned fire and rescue equipment company, will present $5,000 to the firehouse of one of its Safe Firefighter of the Month award recipients. Hale will formally announce the grand prize winner at FDIC 2011 in Indianapolis.
From the 12 monthly winners selected between June 2010 and May 2011, Hale will choose a firefighter who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make health and safety a priority for his or her fire department and community. Hale plans to present the grand prize in June 2011.
Hale understands the sacrifice and dedication required to be a firefighter and to protect the life and property in a community. To recognize the men and women devoted to this service, Hale partnered with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in early 2010 to sponsor the Safe Firefighter of the Month program.
As part of the program, fire departments and community citizens across the U.S. are encouraged to nominate a firefighter for the award. Each month, a top candidate is chosen from the submissions to receive Safe Firefighter of the Month honors and a $100 Visa gift card. Winners and nominees also have their photos and profiles displayed on the website.
