New Software Program Helps Volunteer Firefighters Significantly Improve Response Time and Control Communication

Delaware -- A Delaware fire company wanted to improve the way they dispatched and coordinated their emergency response services, but found nothing available. There was nothing more efficient than a dot matrix printer to print out details of local fire emergencies - and the printout had to be shared among all the volunteer fire fighters at the station. To make matters worse, there was no way to alert volunteer fire fighters besides standard alarm signals. This fire company knew there had to be a more efficient service. They turned to SSD Technology Partners to create Messenger 911.

Messenger 911 is a wireless messaging system that captures the transmission of CAD/fireboard alarm data and forwards that information to firefighters’ wireless messaging devices, to the local station’s printers and to the LED display signs in fire stations. This means firefighters get critical information about emergencies - wherever they may be - and fire companies get complete control over how they view and respond to emergencies at the fire station level.

Messenger 911 is a comprehensive, cost-effective solution for local communities. Now running in more than 100 fire companies, Messenger 911 is a one-of-a-kind service for volunteer fire companies. Visit SSD Technology to learn more.
