Registration open for 2017 NVFC Training Summit

GREENBELT, Md. — Registration and course selection is now open for the National Volunteer Fire Council’s (NVFC) Training Summit. The Summit will take place Friday, June 9, and Saturday, June 10, from 8am-4pm each day in Myrtle Beach, SC. The conference is open to all volunteer firefighters, EMTs, department leadership, and other fire department personnel from across the United States. This two-day seminar will provide an opportunity to share ideas and best practices, network, and participate in valuable training. Attendees will be able to select six out of 12 breakout sessions to attend, addressing firefighter cancer, behavioral health, recruitment and retention, leadership, functional fitness, and more. New for 2017, the NVFC is excited to announce a networking social event after class concludes on Friday, June 9. The event will be held on the oceanfront lawn of the conference hotel, the DoubleTree by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront, and include a vendor area featuring sponsors American Military University, California Casualty, Columbia Southern University, National Fire Protection Association, and Trident University.

The registration fee for the Summit is $75, which provides two days of training from nationally-recognized instructors, lunches, and the networking social event. To help more first responders attend, a scholarship is available for select attendees. The scholarship will reimburse two nights hotel plus up to $500 per person for transportation expenses. In addition, the registration fee will be waived (or reimbursed, if you have already registered). Click here to apply for a scholarship.
