PHELPS, NY - On March 23, 2007 Phelps Fire Department took delivery of this FasTak Wildland Pumper from American LaFrance which replaces a 1979 Chevy with a Redding Body. This unit is on a 4-door Ford F-550 Super Duty powered by a 325hp Powerstroke Turbo Diesel with a five speed automatic transmission, and a custom 9,500 lb portable electric winch. This apparatus features an aluminum body, a 300 gallon water Poly Tank with an intergraded 20 gallon FoamPro foam cell. The pump is a Berkeley 230gpm pump powered by a 26hp Lombardini diesel engine with an electric primer. (2) 1.50" crosslay hosebed discharges, 1 booster line, (2) telescoping Magnafire 3000 12Volt 70 Watt H.I.D. scene lights, Honda EC3500 generator, topped off with Whelen emergency lighting package and siren.
