The OnSite ERT system includes Incident Command software, wireless tracking tags, and portable receivers.
The city will use OnSite ERT to automatically track and locate firefighters and equipment on-scene at emergency events. The city fire department has an ISO rating of 4, with 15 emergency vehicles and 94 personnel.
The Ann Arbor Fire Department serves a population of around 114,000 in an area covering 27 square miles.
