Limited-use suits are designed specifically for dealing with deadly chemical warfare agents, or Chemical Surety Materials (CSM). Responder CSM fabric is tested both before and after production to ensure the highest level of protection from extreme toxicities. In addition, one suit per lot is randomly selected for seam and material testing with live toxic agents. In tests performed by GEOMET Technologies, a U.S.-certified chemical warfare testing facility, Responder CSM material exhibited no permeation breakthrough after 8 hours’ exposure to six deadly chemical agents (see chemical test results.)
The Level A totally encapsulating gas-tight suit includes the following features:
• Front-entry suit with gas-tight PVC zipper provides maximum protection for skin and eyes
