The event, which begins at 10:00 a.m., will be held for the first time at a recently unveiled memorial built through the collective support of firefighters and those they proudly serve.
The uplifting and ritual-filled ceremony, strong in Fire Department symbolism, will offer stirring tribute to those who have given their lives in the service of the city, while also recognizing those who have and continue to make the LAFD their life’s work.
The adjacent Los Angeles Fire Department Museum will be open following the morning’s ceremony, and refreshments will be served.
