Number of users grew by 54 percent from December 2006
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - FireRescue1.com, a leading online resource for fire-rescue personnel, announced that it now receives more than 150,000 unique visits each month, making it the fastest growing online community in the fire market.
The recent milestone represents a 54 percent growth in unique users from December 2006, in addition to a 28 percent increase in total visits over the same period. Already the top online destination for fire product information, FireRescue1’s product category traffic increased more than 150% last year.
FireRescue1’s community of fire rescue professionals has continued to grow significantly. The site has exceeded the 50,000 member mark, including close to 24,000 subscribers to the twice-weekly FireRescue1 newsletter.
“The tremendous growth in traffic over the last few months is a further testament to the progress FireRescue1.com is continuing to make in becoming an essential resource to many firefighters,” said Alex Ford, CEO of FireRescue1.
In addition to the significant growth in traffic, FireRescue1 recently announced it has formed a partnership with the OnTarget Firefighter Combat Challenge, a popular, nationally televised series of competitive firefighting events that seeks to encourage firefighter fitness and demonstrate the profession’s rigors to the public. The partnership will provide online exposure to the series of Firefighter Combat Challenge events on FireRescue1, as well as promote FireRescue1 at events across the country.
